The Hip Chics enjoyed Chinese New Year from Little Saigon, in Orange County, California'Kung Hei Fat Choy' --Happy New Year from Little Saigon in Westminster California. It was a beautiful and mild day, perfect for parades and festivities to celebrate the year of the Ox.
Firecrackers exploded to keep away evil spirits. Chinese, Vietnamese, Koreans and people of all races took part in the joyous occasion. Lucky red envelopes -- called li xi were in abundance and filled with crisp dollar bills and chocolate coins for young and old alike.
